About
I’m BLAKHONEY, formerly known as BLACKHONEY777, a Nigerian recording artist, self-published songwriter, and creative visionary from Lagos. I’m the founder and owner of BH777 RECORDS, the independent label through which I release my music and creative projects. Music became more than something I listened to when I realised it could express emotions words alone couldn’t. I started taking music seriously in 2019 and fully committed to my journey in 2020. In 2023, I released my debut freestyle EP, 777 Freestyles. In 2024, I released my second EP, "THE WRLD SHALL KNOW BLACKHONEY777", followed by my debut LP, LORD, HELP ME!, featuring TRIPLE 7 on FAKE. I also released the collaborative EP YOUR WILL NOT MINE GOD with TRIPLE 7 and GOD’S LAST BORN. My sound is rooted in emotion, authenticity, and storytelling. Inspired by artists like Juice WRLD while staying true to my own creative vision, I’m a versatile artist who identifies primarily as an alternative/indie artist. For me, that means creating music free from trends, allowing every song to grow naturally through genuine emotion, personal experiences, and creative freedom. Beyond music, I enjoy creating animations and bringing my ideas to life through visual storytelling. Everything I create is driven by my desire to connect with people, inspire them to keep moving forward, and leave a lasting impact through my art.
